The Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing allows you to acquire knowledge in IT and Management adapted to the new requirements of companies in terms of Digitalization. The training develops both technical skills and management tools as well as personal qualities, skills that have become essential on the job market. The bachelor degree is available in a common core followed by a specialization in one of the two courses.

Common core 


The core curriculum extends over 3 semesters dedicated to the acquisition of the fundamentals of management IT, of management itself, as well as cross-disciplinary skills (languages, culture, communication, collaborative work, etc.).

Specialty :
After the 3 semesters of the common core, the student will have access to a specialization within the framework of a course, two courses offered :

  • BI : Business Intelligence
  • BIS : Business Information Systems

The issuance of the diploma is also subject to obtaining the B2 level in French and English.

BI course

Objective

The Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing – Business Intelligence (BI) track is designed to develop your technical, soft and managerial skills. The aim is to train future consultants with solid theoretical and technical backgrounds enabling them to gather, analyze and interpret complex data-to support decision-making within an organization.
This program is offered for selected students as a double degree in Information Systems and Decision Support with Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.

This program is available for students who have successfully completed the first year of Business Computing bachelor’s degree.

The bachelor’s degree in BC- BI course is organized in 3 semesters Core Curriculum and 3 semesters of specialization:

  • Semesters 1, 2 & 3
    are mainly reserved for the control of skills fundamentals in Algorithms, Operating Systems, Networks, IS Design as well as Databases. The student will also be able to acquire certain prerequisites in Management, Finance and Marketing as Principles of Management, Project Management, Financial Management, Digital Marketing as well as cross-disciplinary skills (languages, culture, communication, collaborative work, etc.).
  • Semesters 3, 4 & 5 will be devoted to BI specialization. The focus is on the concepts of artificial intelligence, business intelligence, languages Advanced BI Programming, TB Design and Scoring as well as Multidimensional Modeling and data warehouses and Cloud Computing.

Objective

The Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing – Business Information Systems (BIS) track is designed to develop your technical, managerial, and soft skills. The emphasis is on the design, and implementation of information systems. The Curriculum puts special emphasis on business process and IT project management.
This program is offered for selected students as a double degree in Information Systems and Decision Support with Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.

Terms of Access

This license is intended for bachelors, in Computer Science, Economics and Management, Mathematics, Experimental Sciences, Technology and any equivalent diploma.

Access to the Business Computing Bachelor will be possible for candidates from the above-mentioned training courses, after an entrance examination.

Admission to L2 & L3 is possible for students whose files have been validated by the Director of Studies and who have successfully passed the tests of the ESB entrance examination.

BI course : 

Students who have successfully completed the first 2 years of the basic bachelor in business computing and have reached the minimum level B2 in French and B1 in English. A pre-selection is established in 2 steps :

  • Evaluation of files by ESB, based on the quality and level of higher education and professional activities.
  • Interviews organized by ESB will be conducted by a selected jury from ESB and the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1.

Registration fees per year

The registration fees corresponding to a price list are payable in two installments: a first fee at registration and a second fee before January 15 of the following year.
